[more people are starting to turn up now. A expensive-looking sedan pulls out. The door opens and out steps Austin...followed by a very heavilly pregnant woman. She has dark skin like Austin's with short hair. She seems a little embarrassed to be here. As strange as it may seem, she looks vaguely like the woman that you saw with the baby]

[Shit, this could get interesting... Have they noticed us?]

"In the name of Hecate, Goddess of the Crossroads, I command you to tell us!

Is Austin Kittrell responsible for the event that will happen in five days time?"

[Assuming that there is some kind of Big Event coming and that future-seeing beyond it might be impossible as it's such as big thing.]

DARKNESS COMING. ONE WORLD OVER THE OTHER. THE CHILD!

And with that, the spirit vanishes.

[Are Austin and the pregnant lady heading into the church or are they hanging about outside?]

Eric hastily removes the Lens from Jennifer's head, seemingly more concerned with keeping the artefact safe than he is with not scalping his cousin. Re-wrapping the lens in its cloth, he prepares to slip into the church as discretely as possible.

They walk past you and enter the church, which is now filling up with people wearing a lot of white: white shirts, white suit jackets. It's busy enough for you to e able to take a seat without attracting too much attention

[Cool, I'll slap on some Mage Sight too for good luck.

The whole church is bathed in a spirtual light, radiating from everyone present but strongest from the pregnant woman by the altar. The man who arrived with her is standing to her side with the priest. The three of them have now changed into white, hooded robes. It is clear the ceremony is about to begin

Remembering what happened last time people started radiating spiritual light Eric does his best to ensure that there are plenty of people between him and the pregnant lady, and that he and Jennifer get seats close to the exit.

He asks Jennifer if the robes look like the ones in her vision.

"Yes they are."

The crowd is starting to settle as they sense the beginning is approaching. The man walks to the pulpit.

"Brothers and sisters! Today is a great day. Today we are closer to the Rebirth"

A great cheer goes up.

"After this gathering - our 4th congress - my sister will return home to prepare for the birth. The glory of God is at hand."

[I'm guessing that trying to recall references to four-part rituals to summon things is too vague for a roll?]

Eric will just watch and listen to the mass and see what happens.]

From outside, you hear a commotion, shouting and banging - the sounds of a scuffle. The doors swing open and in storms two men dressed in ordinary clothes and struggling with two suited guards.

One of the men has a knife and is screaming "They must die! The child must die!"

Eric is an academic, not a fighter. Also he is concerned that this "child" could be the harbinger of the Omega Point, perhaps even the Point itself.

He'll see what happens, this child has proven itself capable of defending itself...

There's general screaming and shouting. Jennifer gets to her feet. You can hear a woman behind you say "Oh, I never thought things would get this bad. Why cant they just accept the light?"

[I'll get ready to cast an improvised Decay spell (p.136) on the man's knife if he goes for Jennifer, but otherwise see how the crowd/baby deals with this.]

In an impressive display of dexterity, the man with the knife slips past the guards and bolts down the nave. Your spell begins to break down the blade until it turns dark-red with red. Realising his weapon is useless, he throws it away but keeps on running.

[That's a vulgar spell with witnesses, so four dice for paradox

Damn you dice!  That's three successes, an anomaly forms (p. 271-2) - so I've kind of accidentally broken reality a bit :S]

A pain not unlike a knife twisting grips your gut and you let out a small grunt of pain.

Jennifier jumps to herfeet and runs after the man, to try to stop him.

Gripping his abdomen, Eric struggles to his feet and makes his way up the aisle after Jennifer.

[I'm not going to attempt to tackle the man, just stay a few paces behind Jennifer in case she needs back-up.]

With a final burst of speed, Jennifier manages to grab a fistful of the intruder's shirt
