Re: Geist - Jennifer
I put down my coffee cup and look closer. Are there any dead spirits amongst them?

Re: Geist - Jennifer
[no. They just look very ill, like the life is being drained out of them]
[Eric emails you a link to a BBC article detailing Dr Arthur Mobius and a new species of hornet, noticiable for markings that give them a vaguely human face]

Re: Geist - Jennifer
As Jennifer's phone beeps she snaps out of her trance-like state, and looks at her phone. She has a look at the link, then looks up at him.
"What's this?"
"What's this?"

Re: Geist - Jennifer
Eric is looking out of the window, trying to see whatever it is you are looking at.
Re: Geist - Jennifer
Jennifer remembers what she saw, and then looks closer at Eric, to see if he is exhibiting any of the same signs.

Re: Geist - Jennifer
[No, if anything he seems to be glowing with life]
"Kittrell is involved in an organisation with possible connections to our line of work."
He pauses, before somewhat dismissively adding "Well, my line of work at least."
Eric rubs his eyes
"Do you know anyone who might be able to get us more information on these hornets? Whoever wrote this letter seems to have been exposed to them. The more we know about them the more we can potentially learn about him."

Re: Geist - Jennifer
Jennifer shakes her head. "No... I don't know anything about any hornets. At least I can't think of anything..."
She tries to recollect anything that might've happened recently at work that might have any bearing on this...
She adds "Did you see the people outside? I mean really see them? They all look so sick... I don't like the looks of what's going to happen in London..."

[You cant think of anything. The guy behind the counter walks over to your table.]
"I think you dropped this, luv," he says, sliding a folded peice of paper towards you

Re: Geist - Jennifer
"Oh, thank you!" I say, smiling and trying to see if he has the same sick look. Once he has turned to return to the counter I unfold the paper to have a look.

Re: Geist - Jennifer
[Everyone has the same look. Everyone looks a few days away from death]
The note is written in the same hand as the other:
On the 3rd day after the 4th summit of the Order, the demons of Hell have paused in their destruction, as if to take stock of the cruelties they have wrought. The brothers pray harder now and naturally I join in (for what other hope do I have) but my heart is not in it. We know now the End draws nears and we have been abandoned.

"No matter, I'll pass the details on to my... colleagues."
Eric distractedly turns to look out the window again.
"We should probably check out the church in St John's Wood next. This Order of the Rebirth is probably a front for something unpleasant."

Re: Geist - Jennifer
"Demons?" Jennifer suggests, showing Eric the second piece of paper. "The man at the counter suggested that I'd dropped it."

Re: Geist - Jennifer
Eric reads the second note
"Hmm, the Order mentioned could be the Order of the Rebirth... But it seems that they were - or will be? - praying for deliverance from these so-called demons."
We need to get access to the church. If the Order is linked to it then there might be more clues there."

Re: Geist - Jennifer
Eric suggests that you both get some rest and meet in St Johns Wood tomorrow morning.
Re: Geist - Jennifer
"Okay," Jennifer agrees, glad that Eric has suggested what she was thinking. Although she's concerned that people look merely days from death she also knows that she's feeling a little drained and a little drunk, and they'd probably benefit from having some sort of feedback from Eric's colleagues.

Yeah, that's cool. I've just spent 10 minutes trying to get the page to refresh, so I'm about ready to call it quits for the night.

Re: Geist - Jennifer
You are at home (I assume) waiting for Eric to contact you. Or you are heading to the church. it's up to you]
Re: Geist - Jennifer
I'll be heading over to the church. I've had some time to kill, and no partner to nag me.

Re: Geist - Jennifer
Ok. Your arrive at the church around 11am. It is open and there are one or two people inside. The church is on Abbey Road and in a nice, leafy part of London
Re: Geist - Jennifer
What's the weather like? Can I get away with wandering the grounds until I hear from Eric?

Re: Geist - Jennifer
The weather is a little overcast. The courtyard is small but you can walk around. No one will stop you.

Re: Geist - Jennifer
I potter around a bit. I use my death sight on anyone I see, anticipating more of the same sickened visage. If anyone is noticeably different my guard will immediately go up.

Re: Geist - Jennifer
Nearly everyone around you appears to be on the verge of death but without any physical effects. Eric arrives outside. The interior of the church is bright and welcoming.
